synopsis:

The story in the film 'Anesthesia' which focuses on a professor of philosophy at Columbia University, named Walter Zarrow (Sam Waterston). One night, while on his way home 'Walter' savagely attacked by criminals.Earlier, which is one week before the scene of the attack does occur signs that there will be events of that terrible night. Within a week without realizing it has happened a bond between Walter with several people, including a self-destructive student (Kristen Stewart), a housewife drunkard who lived in the suburbs (Gretchen Mol), and an addict desperate (K. Todd Freeman). They are all very complex relationship to subuah united by tragedy. 

The core of this film is about a philosophy professor named Walter Zarrow who experienced incidents of mugging. After that, various groups of people who know Zarrow began to fail kehidupannya.Mulai of a man who had an affair, robbers, addicts, mothers drink, classified as a teenager who lost his honor.
